Art is described as a window to the soul, a mirror of society, and a chronicle of culture. It both shapes and is shaped by the times in which the artists live and work. Art is meant to be experienced, studied, and enjoyed, not just once but frequently. It also is said that the appreciation of the timeless values of art is a characteristic of a well-educated and inquisitive person. Art faculty at ACS institutions strive to wed intellectual and personal growth for their students by offering opportunities to explore a multitude of styles, by assisting them in uncovering their own individual styles, and by encouraging them to develop their talents to the fullest. These faculty members seek to create and support a climate of diversity and excellence for their students. And they work to help their students see and appreciate the past and present links that art enjoys with other disciplines, including history, anthropology, literature, music, drama, mathematics, and religion. Within the ACS colleges and universities there is much talent and art to be shared with each other and beyond the campus borders. The ACS Virtual Art Gallery is one way to expand campus borders and share this wealth. We invite you to explore the Virtual Art Gallery and other resources offered through this site. You may access these by clicking on the desired topic in the left-hand sidebar found on this page.
