Ten students from 6 ACS institutions and 1 NITLE Southern Region institution participated in an internship at the ACS Tech Center June 7-August 9, 2003. The interns worked in teams on several versions of the DAMSEL software, which will be used by the consortium and made available for use by others under an open source license. A team of faculty drawn from the ACS and NITLE Southern Region instructed students in software engineering concepts, while the project provided hands-on experience designing and coding real world applications.
