In music departments in small liberal arts colleges students are not constantly exposed to the variety of performances available in conservatories and music department in large universities. The ACS Visiting Artists Project addresses this need by facilitating guest performances by ACS music faculty to the campuses of member institutions. Typically, the guest artist gives a recital and presides over a masterclass for students at the host institution. Portions of both of these events are made available to the public in streaming audio and video archived at the ACS Technology Center. This effort can be combined with the work of the ACS Composers Forum when the recitals include new works by ACS composers, both faculty and student.
