I have presented the first chapter to my students and made a presentation for the Sculptors and Computers Forum held in conjunction with the International Sculpture Symposium in Chicago. I am very encouraged by their responses and as stated in my original proposal I will finish the project this summer. I have completed 8 of the probable 20-30 video interaction sets and I have sent out a request for slides of contemporary artworks to use as examples for the various concepts about design. I expect to involve my computer Imaging class next spring in the development of some of the chapters. If you need anymore specific information regarding my progress please email a reply. Since I am doing this in Authorware and several other programs such as Infini-D, Poser, Painter, etc I would like to wait until the whole thing is finished before posting the work. I will also need to get release forms signed from each artist for the works that I have finally selected to use as examples.
