The Goldberg Citation
At the November 2005 meeting of the Senior Student Affairs Officers in the Associated Colleges of the South, the conference adopted a resolution honoring Dr. Leonard “Len” Goldberg and his 37 years of service-leadership to the student personnel profession. Many years of Len’s career were invested as Vice President for Student Development at the University of Richmond. A feature of the resolution created the “Goldberg Medal (later called the Goldberg Citation)” to recognize an extraordinary leader who merits acknowledgement for notable achievements in student personnel administration and related endeavors, thus elevating the importance of student personnel services to higher education. The Medal/Citation need not be granted every year, nor is it limited to professionals at ACS member institutions.
Nominations may be submitted by emailed letter of nomination or by U.S. mail submission to Dr. R. Brit Katz, Millsaps College, 1701 N. State Street, Jackson, MS 39210 or to
