Possible Discussion Topics for
Mentoring Activities

The following topics are suggestions of the types of discussion topics that may be of interest for science faculty who teach introductory courses for non-majors. This is by no means an exhaustive list. Rather, it is intended to spark ideas and “get the juices flowing.” You are invited to submit discussion topics for inclusion in this list.   2. Information/Knowledge/Skills that non-science majors need to take away from introductory science courses. What do students need to know about science?
  3. Motivating our students. How can we get them interested?
  4. Making information relevant to the students
