The Curriculum and Faculty Development (CFD) alliance and the Campus as Lab for Sustainability (CLS) alliance seek proposals for grants of $1500 to $3000. Grant applications have a ROLLING DEADLINE, so qualified grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. CFD grants encourage any ACS faculty to create or re-design courses to deal with environmental issues, or to implement a minor, major, or program on your campus. For more information, please contact alliance director Lee Lines at llines@rollins.edu, or see proposal guidelines for CFD grants at http://www.colleges.org/~enviro/proposals/cfd_rfp05.pdf.  CLS grants encourage ACS staff, students, and faculty to create campus projects that deal with energy conservation, recycling, campus design and redesign, landscaping, transportation, campus audits, minimization and treatment of waste products, green purchasing, and building standards, among others. For more information, please contact alliance co-directors Jeanne Jackson at jjackson@bsc.edu or Roald Hazelhoff at rhazelho@bsc.edu, or see proposal guidelines for CLS grants at http://www.colleges.org/~enviro/proposals/cls_rfp_guidelines05.pdf.
