2.  CUBAN ART EXHIBIT AVAILABLE TO ACS CAMPUSES

ACS and the University of Richmond Museums are pleased to offer an exhibit of contemporary Cuban art to all ACS campuses. "Cuba Plástica: Recent Art from Cuba" features ten Cuban artists spanning a variety of mediums. The exhibit forms an excellent companion piece with the documentary film "Cuba Plástica It's Not easy"  previously distributed to all ACS campuses and made possible with ACS funding. Organized and circulated by the University of Richmond Museums, the exhibition is made possible with the support of the ACS Collaborative Effort and Program in Latin American Studies. Beginning in January 2005, the exhibit is available to other ACS campuses. For more information and requirements concerning hosting the exhibit contact either Richard Waller, Executive Director of the University of Richmond Museums, rwaller@richmond.edu, or Teresa Wise, Director of International Programs, ACS, twise@colleges.org. 7.  APPLY NOW FOR CFD and CLS ENVIRONMENTAL GRANTS

The Curriculum and Faculty Development (CFD) alliance and the Campus as Lab for Sustainability (CLS) alliance seek proposals for grants of $1500 to $3000. Grant applications have a ROLLING DEADLINE, so qualified grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. CFD grants encourage any ACS faculty to create or re-design courses to deal with environmental issues, or to implement a minor, major, or program on your campus. For more information, please contact alliance director Lee Lines at llines@rollins.edu, or see proposal guidelines for CFD grants at http://www.colleges.org/~enviro/proposals/cfd_rfp05.pdf.  CLS grants encourage ACS staff, students, and faculty to create campus projects that deal with energy conservation, recycling, campus design and redesign, landscaping, transportation, campus audits, minimization and treatment of waste products, green purchasing, and building standards, among others. For more information, please contact alliance co-directors Jeanne Jackson at jjackson@bsc.edu or Roald Hazelhoff at rhazelho@bsc.edu, or see proposal guidelines for CLS grants at http://www.colleges.org/~enviro/proposals/cls_rfp_guidelines05.pdf.
