NEWS 1. THIRD ISSUE OF ONLINE INFORMATION FLUENCY JOURNAL, TRANSFORMATIONS The 3rd issue of the ACS Information Fluency journal, "Transformations:
Liberal Arts in the Digital Age," is now available at http://www.colleges.org/transformations/
The special theme of this issue is Bioinformatics in the Liberal Arts
curriculum, edited by Guest Editor Laurie Heyer (Davidson). The issue

5. CONCERT DVD OF MIDDLEBURY PERFORMANCE AVAILABLE At the recent music conference sponsored by the Center for Educational
Technology at Middlebury College, the ACS new music ensemble Luna Nova,
with colleagues from the MANE region, performed works by composers from
colleges in all three NITLE regions. The concert was webcast live and

7. PRE-DEPARTURE AND REORIENTATION PROGRAMS FOR STUDY ABROAD: A BEST PRACTICES SYMPOSIUM Don't miss the chance to attend the Global Partners sponsored Best Practices
Symposium on Pre-Departure and Reorientation Programs for Study Abroad.
The symposium will take place Thursday, June 17, 5:00 P.M., through Saturday,
June 19, 2004, 4:00 P.M. at Birmingham-Southern College. There is no registration
fee and no charge for meals during the symposium! Travel grants are also
available. The registration deadline has been extended; however, you should
