7. 3RD ANNUAL STUDENT ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP A GREAT SUCCESS

The Student Development and Engagement Alliance's (SDE) 3rd annual Student Environmental Leadership Workshop (April 2-4, 2004, at Duke University and UNC Chapel Hill) was a huge success. Twenty-one ACS students traveled to North Carolina from Centre, Furman, Hendrix, Millsaps, Morehouse, Richmond, Rollins, Trinity, Sewanee, and Washington
& Lee to attend. There they worked with SDE alliance members to strategize about environmental programs on their own campuses. In addition, they engaged experts from the renewable energy industry, advocacy organizations, and academia, and networked with students from other institutions all over the country who have organized successful green energy campaigns.
