PHOTOGRAPHER NEEDED FOR ACS ARCHAEOLOGY PROGRAM

ACS is seeking immediately a photographer to participate in an archaeological excavation this summer in Turkey, from 28 June - 15 August. We seek someone who has expertise in both digital and film formats. A major initiative of the program is experimenting with digital photography and QTVR. We seek an individual who is comfortable working with digital imaging software, especially Adobe PhotoShop, deBabelizer and QuickTime VR Authoring Studio. The photographer will be responsible for recording architecture and archaeological strata in the field and object photography at the museum. Experience in archaeological photography is not required. The program will provide all equipment, including a state of the art digital camera, laptop workstation and software. The program also pays travel to and from Turkey and all living expenses while in Turkey.

The ACS Archaeology Program participates each summer in an archaeological excavation in southwestern Turkey. Both faculty and students from the ACS participate in this project, which is an interdisciplinary investigation into the reconstruction of ancient life in this part of Turkey. The program is heavily invested in the use of information technology in the collection, analysis and publication of archaeological data. Information about the program can be found at the following URLs:
