Since 1993, ACS has sponsored and Birmingham-Southern College has generously hosted an annual Latin American Studies Symposium. Every spring the Latin American Studies Program gathers undergraduate students and faculty to discuss issues related to Latin America. This conference has two main objectives: to promote undergraduate research and to increase dialogue among faculty members. Birmingham-Southern College will host the 16th Annual Latin American Studies Symposium on March 14-15, 2008. For more information contact the Symposium Director, Barbara Domcekova, bdomceko@bsc.edu; 205 226-4975.
